Membership

Welcome to the Public Health Association of Australia, a non party-political organisation representing more than 40 public health related disciplines. Membership of PHAA is open to any person who is supportive of the objects of the Association.

PHAA's Objectives

  1. to advocate for the reduction of health inequalities across Australia and international communities;
  2. to encourage research and promote knowledge relating to the problems, needs and development of public health;
  3. to promote and provide a forum for the regular exchange of views and information;
  4. to promote the development and education of workers in public health;
  5. to promote, maintain and extend the interest of PHAA’s Branches, Special Interest Groups and any affiliated organisations;
  6. to promote excellence in public health practice; and,
  7. to advocate the objects and policies of the Association

  • A hard copy of and online access to the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health, Australia’s premier public health publication; online access only for Concession Members and Full-time Students (six issues per year)
