PHAA Fellowship

Nominations for the Fellowship are open until 11:59 pm AEST, 29 June 2026.

Eligibility for nomination:

Award recipients may address any of the following criteria:

been a member for five years or more, although not necessarily sequentially, and be a current member;
a proven track record in the advancement of public health; and
a strong record of contribution to PHAA as a whole or via any Branch or Special Interest Group.

the public health activities and record of the nominee – the importance, impact and acceptance of these activities by peers; and
the activities undertaken by the nominee within and on the behalf of PHAA – the importance and impact of these activities on the Association.

Selection Process

A person must be nominated by two active PHAA members.
Nominations will be considered by the PHAA Board all year up until 21 days prior to AGM;
Nominations can be made at any time of the year and once approved by the Board, the awardee will be notified through email;
The awardee can now add to her/his signature “PHAA Fellow” if desired.
A person being awarded the Fellowship award does not preclude them being awarded another PHAA award at any point in time
All Fellowship awards that have been bestowed will be acknowledged at the subsequent PHAA Annual Conference or at the Population Health Congress when appropriate;
In the absence of a nomination of person at an appropriate standard, no award may be made.
