Policy Process
The Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) is committed to promoting the health of the public as well as serving as a professional resource for public health personnel. To do so, PHAA develops evidence based policy options and advocates for these with appropriate bodies, in particular with governments at all levels.

Human Rights Framework in Policy Development
In 2006 VicHealth provided funding for the Human Rights and Bioethics Unit
of the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash
University to undertake human rights capaity building programmes. The
document below is one of the outcomes of this work.
PHAA places this document on its website in order that its members and
others use the information as is appropriate for their purposes and consider
its content when developing policy and advocacy initiatives.
